I’m beyond happy welcoming this super cool project into my home. They look awesome and I love the custom light settings. My fish are part of a band called Dorsal Twin which is perfect for a music lover such as myself. Piscilla, Sally, and Jeffy can rock on all day long 🤘🎸
I was surprised that such a cool piece was so affordable! I’m actually truly obsessed with this lamp and beyond that fact that it’s just plain cool, it also gives off the perfect ambient lighting for my dungeon of an apartment! The product arrived securely packaged and installing it was super easy! It’s also super easy to adjust how low or high it hangs! Overall I consider myself lucky to own such a cool piece of art with a fun story behind it!
I love my guppy (her name is Felicity according to her adoption certificate). She arrived promptly all the way to Alaska and sits nicely on my desk next all my other fish-themed nonsense (I study fish for a living). The different colors are super fun, and I love the level of adjustment possible to the tone, color, brightness etc.
If I were to give any feedback, it would be that she could be a little more neatly finished - her transparent sides meet rather imperfectly, she does have a few scratches and scrapes, and there were messy little plastic tags along her seams that I spent a bit of time scrapping off to neaten her up. Her adorable little 3D printed hats unfortunately also didn't fit. But I understand I am adopting not shopping, I love her regardless, and I may yet buy her a friend.
Thank you for the 5 stars despite the imperfections; the sides don't quite meet as they were cut by hand, and the scratches and scrapes were caused by the storms she endured lighting up the Waterloo Greenway Creekshow in Austin Tx! If we do end up making more, the finish quality will be higher, but the character will be lower. Everything comes with tradeoffs
This lamp is awesome, full stop. Easy installation, beautiful color modes. Looks great and a little silly, I love it.
I mean… it’s a fish lamp, with a name, and lights up in pretty colors. It’s awesome. Let’s not mention everything about it is custom and engineered, so it’s basically a “smart” fish lamp too. Buy one.
